Moving On

A lot of factors can impact your decision to sell, from changes in family or financial circumstance to job relocations and lifestyle choices. Once you’ve decided to list your home, the first step is to determine whether you want to go it alone or enlist the help of a realtor.

If you choose to work with me, I’ll help you with the most important aspect of a home sale: designing – and sticking to – a strategy. I can’t stress enough how critical it is to have a well-thought-out plan for pricing your property, marketing and preparing your home for sale so that it stands out from the competition.

I know it’s not easy to view your house as a commodity, but you need be as objective as possible in this process. That means listing your house in market range during the window of opportunity instead of overvaluing – and  overpricing – your home or “testing the waters” with a higher price tag. And, while it may be hard to do, it also means boxing up your collectibles and other cherished mementos, swapping out your favorite artwork or paint color for more neutral decor, sprucing up the property outside and taking other steps.

As your agent, my top priority is listening to you. As a seller, it’s equally important that you heed my advice because in this business, mistakes can be costly.

Please contact me or call 401.499.7541 to discuss the possibilities.
